The Parks & Recreation Department currently maintains 5 parks.  City park land totals nearly 37 acres.  The Belle Plaine Municpal Pool is operated by Parks & Recreation and has a wading pool and main pool from 2 feet to 5 feet in depth and a 12 foot diving area.  Open-air shelters are available to rent. The Parl & Rec Department is also in charge or renting the City Community Center. Recreation opportunities are also available through the Parks & Recreation Department, from toddlers to seniors as well as adult activities.
